It was quite a struggle to be a woman in the field I was thinking of as being very masculine. It was for me hard to accept, "Okay I can be strong, feminine and soft. Be careful of your appearance and not diminish myself." It was lots of fun to wear heels, dresses, materials and curly locks every day. It was very stressful because I'm a lot younger than other actors [in Fantastic Beasts]; there is a great deal of pressure. But during the auditions, I had this strange feeling of this massive pressure in front of me. Either I would crumble in the midst of this force and fall because I so wanted it. The other option was to step into the air and let it propel me to the next level. You could spend days just walking around, going to coffee shops, museums as well as parks. London is a city where you are surrounded by people. In LA it's possible to be alone and yet, you're right in the middle of all that. I am awestruck by the people around me. I come from the music industry, where you're constantly surrounded by guys and feel that there's a real intimacy constantly working alongside men. These books are a dream that came true for myself. The books I've read during the tour were quite intense and vivid. It's a fantastic world to lose yourself within.
