Nadia Elena Comaneci

It was during the Montreal Olympic Games 1976 that she scored one of the most memorable sporting moments of all time - the score of the first-ever perfect 10, on the bars that were asymmetrical. To top it off the six perfect tens, and was the most youthful Olympic silver medalist. Nadia Comaneci managed to attract international attention and help Romania to establish itself as a major player on the international stage. The achievement of an impossible score made this sports icon famous and brought gymnastics to the forefront of every country. This changed the perception of female gymnasts. The impact of her performance during the Olympics is so significant that the toe movement (release) and her toe step are both named after her in the uneven bars event. Apart from the Olympics she also became a star during the World Championships and European Championships. Her performances have made her one of the best gymnasts of all time. While in the US she also tried to market sporting goods and models after leaving her native country. Nadia Nadia Nadia Nadia 2 Nadia
